Fixed third teeth: Implant dentures in one day

“Didn’t you like it?” Lena asks her grandmother disappointedly. “Yes, yes, but unfortunately I can’t chew most of it,” Margot replies sadly. The hearty roast, the coarse dumplings, the dessert with hazelnuts – Lena put so much effort into her birthday meal and wanted to do something good for her favorite grandma. But chewing is hard work for Margot. And since it also hurts her jaw, she has to leave the treats with a heavy heart. She is just 69 years young. This experience is a constant for Margot, but she simply doesn’t dare to undergo lengthy and complex treatment.

Strong new teeth in just one day – and for a lifetime

You are certainly familiar with this situation, as someone affected or from a circle of acquaintances or friends. The good news: This can be changed! In most cases, patients can receive new, fixed dentures in a single day – even if many teeth are already missing or are at risk of being lost soon. The patient comes to the practice in the morning and leaves the same evening with new permanent third parties, thanks to a revolutionary treatment method.

The method – fixed dentures with only 4 implants

As a rule, only 4 implants need to be inserted per jaw. They serve as a foundation on which the entire bridge with all teeth is firmly anchored. With the so-called All-on-4™ method, this happens in a single, minimally invasive operation.

The precision and safety of the procedure are ensured before and during the operation by using state-of-the-art and innovative diagnostic and treatment methods. This includes three-dimensional images of the jaw (DVT) and 3D simulation, which are used to decide on the important steps of the operation, as well as an individually manufactured navigation template for the actual operation.

The new third parties on implants – without bone formation and immediately resilient

With this procedure, the implants can be placed in the jawbone at an angle of up to 30° – exactly in the places where they offer the highest possible stability for the bridge. Thanks to this special technique, the existing bone structure is optimally used and the jaw is kept healthy. Patients with very little bone substance can also benefit from this method – laborious and time-consuming bone building or bone transplantation as well as the associated long healing phases are avoided in most cases. In addition, by strategically positioning the dental implants, we achieve better statics and more stability, which in turn enables the bridge to be attached immediately. The bridge consists of at least 12 teeth and is previously made individually and according to your type.

The result after a single day: A stable, fixed denture that cannot be distinguished from natural teeth in terms of appearance, tooth feel and taste! Here you can see the comment of a patient that I treated together with my team in my practice in Gräfelfing near Munich.

The treatment process: painless and stress-free

In just 8 hours and with just one operation, you can regain your smile and enjoyment. The treatment takes place under outpatient general anesthesia and is completely painless for you. You don’t have to worry about any increased pain afterward. A professional anesthesia team ensures this safety, and you will also be under constant care during the operation.

Depending on the dental situation, teeth that are not worth preserving are extracted. Immediately afterwards, the special dental implants (usually 4 dental implants per jaw) are inserted into the jawbone. After about 2-3 hours you will wake up from the anesthesia. A few hours later, your new complete bridge will be firmly anchored on the implants. Because this procedure leaves your palate free, you will feel as if you have natural teeth again.

After the day of the operation, only a small follow-up check is necessary. The sutures are removed and the healing process is checked. After the gums have completely healed, around 4 to 8 weeks, the dentures are adjusted again.

Long-term enjoyment of the permanent third party with professional aftercare Just like your own natural teeth, the new implant-supported dentures also need to be regularly checked and professionally cared for by the dentist. Your bridge will be removed and carefully cleaned. This ensures long-term preservation and perfect function. Two to three visits to the practice per year are sufficient.
